The city silently took away our park! It was not published or announced anywhere that it was going to be closed and saved for possible future development; but that is what happened. The only way to save it is to let the city know that the Vermont/Alexandrine park is needed and there are many children who play there. Let them know it is anything but under-utilized and should stay a park. We don’t want to wait years to see if we get another one!

Please call Mayor Mike Duggan’s office at 313-224-3400, Detroit Parks and Recreation at 313-224-1180 and Planning & Development 313-224-1105 today and let them know that this is unacceptable! We want them to update the park instead!
